Performed independent research and research support for topics pertaining to mental health of soldiers and families related to deployment. Specific projects included Victim Assistance, Vietnam Era POW families, and pre-military trauma exposure.

Oversaw daily operations of a 12 bed residential treatment facility for soldiers affected by alcoholism and addiction. Supervised staff of 8 counselors and administrators. Led the unit in a successful transition from inpatient model to intensive outpatient model.

Pentagon Post 9/11
In support of Operation Solace, providing crisis counseling and trauma intervention to survivors of the 9/11 attach on the Pentagon, first responders, and witnesses. Deployed with Walter Reed's Special Medical Augmentation Response Team, Stress Management (SMART-SM), worked with first responders first 3 weeks post 9/11, then with survivors.
