USS America (CVA-66)
Originally scheduled to be a 6 month Med Cruise this was rescheduled to be a 10 month Westpac. Left for Cape Town South Africa, stop for mail. alternated between the Gulf of Tonkin (‘’Yankee Station’’) & Subic Bay, RP (4 times) with side trips to Singapore & Hong Kong. home by way of Cape Horn stopped in Mayport, FL then on to Norfolk, VA.

USS America (CVA-66)
Mediterranean Cruise, Ports of Call included: Rota, Spain; Naples, Italy; Palma, Majorca; Corfu, Greece; Athens, Greece; Rhodes, Greece; Thessaloniki, Greece; Cannes, France & Barcelona, Spain then returning to Norfolk. She took part in 3 major exercises including a rare (for a carrier) Missilex where we were 3/3 successful.

USS Worden (DLG-18)
Took Worden from San Diego to Bath, Maine for major Weapons Systems upgrades. Port stops included Acapulco, Mexico; Panama City, Panama; Hamilton, Bermuda; San Juan, PR; St. Croix, VI; Baltimore, MD; Boston, MA; New York, NY & Bath, ME. Mid November is pretty white in Bath, Maine. Decommissioned Her for the 18 month NTDS upgrade.

USS Prairie (AD-15)
Second cruise... this one was a "Tender Westpac" with stops in Hawaii, Yokosuka, Kaohsiung, Subic Bay, and Hong Kong, I also made a 1 month trip to the Tonkin Gulf onboard USS Robert H. McCard (DD-822) In April where she provided naval gunfire support off South Vietnam, after I repaired her MK1A Main Battery Firecontrol Computer.
