Bio 

I enlisted at 17 when I was still in High School as an 11C Mortarman. Commission through Kent State University’s ROTC Program in May of 1990. Commanded 4 Companies and 1 Battalion over the course of my 32 yr, 1 month career. Mobilized 5 times since 911, with 2 of them being deployments to Iraq (‘06-‘07) and Afghanistan (‘14). I love woodworking, Harley-Davison, & Ohio State Football!

Assistant G-3 (Operations) Officer, on a 2-Star Staff, for the 80th Training Command (TASS). Assist the G3 (actual), who is the principal staff officer for all matters concerning operations and plans, and force development and modernization. Preparing, coordinating, authenticating, publishing, and distributing the command SOP, plans, orders (including fragmentary orders [FRAGOs] and warning orders [WARNOs]), and terrain requirements and products involving contributions from other staff sections. Planning, coordinating, and supervising exercises within the Command. Assigned Lines of Effort are focused on Mobilization Planning and Organizational Inspection Program for the Command.

Commanded a Combat Sustainment Support Battalion. The 3rd largest BN in the USAR with a max of 1,288 Soldiers during my tenure organized into 7 Companies and 8 Detachments, located in 13 sites across 4 states in the South Eastern US.

Logistics Task Force OIC with the 401st AFSB based out of Bagram AF, Afghanistan. Served at Camp Phoenix and FOB Shank as well as Bagram.

Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF)
Company Commander for the 454th Transportation Company (MED TRK). Started out at Q-West, just South of Mosul, then the unit was moved to LSA Anaconda just North of Baghdad. While stationed at Q-West our mission was line haul, with M915s, 5000 Gal Tankers and Flatbeds. Once we moved to Anaconda we transitioned to a Gun Truck Company.
