Bio 

Matthew H. Ward served over 15 years as an Army officer, and now works as a civilian for the U.S. Army in the research and intelligence field. In 2020, he commissioned as a Logistics Readiness Officer in the U.S, Air Force Reserve. He is also a historian and boxing journalist, who is the author of several published articles in online and print media. Ward holds a B.A. in History and Culture from Arizona State University (2007), an M.A. in History from Rutgers University-Camden (2018), and a Graduate Certificate in Homeland Security from the Pennsylvania State University (2019). He is currently enrolled in the MPA program at the Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania. Ward is a native of Matawan, New Jersey, who currently lives outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with his wife Sarah and daughter Kiera.
