Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF)
I was the Operations Cheif for a 15 Marine (and 1 Captain) Police Transition Team. Our task was to train the Iraqi police in security, patrol tactics, and handling prisoners. We also equipped and armed them. I was wounded in an IED attack and I was awarded the Purple Heart Medal.
