Bio

25+ years in the Air Force. My first duty assignment after Tech School was at Griffiss AFB, NY. I traveled all over the United States installing new Antenna and Cable Systems and decommisioning old radar sites. I also went to Thule Greenland, Shemya AK, England, and Acension Island. My next duty assignment took me to Aviano Italy, where I traveled all over Italy maintaining antenna systems for the DEB sites, my travels took me to the highest mountain tops to Sicily. I then got stationed at Andrews AFB, their my maintneance career took off. I maintained Mystic Star Antenna systems and Global Command and Control Antenna systems for the President and other high officials. I repaired antennas at the Pentagon and even Camp David. My next duty station was Earecson AS, Alaska. This was my first isolated tour. While station there, I was the NCOIC of a 5 man work center which maintained all the long haul antenna systems and cable plant for the entire base. When I return to the lower 48 I was stationed at Tinker AFB OK. While there I was assigned to the 38 Engineering Installation Wing. We directed and monitored all antenna and cable projects throughout the world. While stationed at Tinker AFB, I was deployed to Prince Sultan AB, Saudi Arabia, which I was the resource and budget advisor to the Commander for all communications purchases. I then returned to Andrews AFB, where I wore many hats, NCOIC Cable Antenna Maintenance, NCOIC, Communications Focal Point, NCOIC Cable Maintenance, Brach Chief Wireless Communications and finaly First Sergeant. In between all those duties I again deployed to Qatar as the NCOIC Cable maintenance. Where I had the pleasure of interacting with local civilians, local military and contractors to maintain critial communications infrustucture for colition forces. After retirement, I worked for a civilian company, United States Tower Services. There I repaired, overhauled and installed new towers and antennas. I accended to 2000' to repair and install new antennas, installed new digial tv antennas and learned new climbing techniques. I then obtained a position at Elmendorf AFB, AK with the DOD repairing and installing Telephone, LAN, Cable and Antenna systems.
