Bio
28 years with NCDPS, ADULT CORRECTIONS & JUVENILE JUSTICE. Now serving as a SHIFT CAPTAIN in a MEDIUM CUSTODY Facility. Responsible for overall supervision of Operations, Custody and Control of an 800 + Offender population. Directly Supervise the Shift Lieutenant, Seven Sergeants & Forty-Six Correctional Officers. Enjoy my job and I am looking forward to Retirement!
Joined U.S. Marine Corps right after High School. Started talking to the Marine Recruiter in my Jr. Year. Had to wait on delayed entry for nine months to get my Military Police MOS.
In High School played Football, Wrestled, Shot Putter & Discus thrower and Managed for Baseball team. Worked at a marina in summer. Pumping gas, cutting grass and watching the girls.

Military Police Officer (MP)
Worked Road patrol and Main Gate on my own or with a partner, depending upon
Staffing. Worked six month rotation between day & night shift. Performing "COLORS" morning, evening or both depending on time of year(I.e. Day Light Savings). Responded to complaints in housing, taking report and/or investigations.
Worked as Desk Sergeant and was certified as NC D.C.I. Operator. I was often assigned as FTO to new trainees even though I was only a L/Cpl.

As a "Slick Sleeve" Private, I was assigned to and/or with Shift Patrol Supervisor (Cpl. Macklin) for three months learning layout of the station,
Basics of patrolling, standing gate guard, walking patrol, traffic control and emergency response.
