I'm a retired prior-enlisted and career commissioned officer with 27 and a half years of Air National Guard and USAF active duty military, professional educator, diplomatic liaison officer and US Government Interagency service experience. While on active duty, I served in a myriad of combat / instructor aviator positions, military service academy educator and diplomatic service / liaison officer command assignments. Among the most notable military service assignments are – having served as a B-52 strategic intercontinental bomber flight instructor and combat mission commander, serving as a professional military education academy institution associate professor at both the US Military Academy at West Point and the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, serving as a former Political-Military Foreign Area Officer – Western Hemisphere Specialist and Defense Security Assistance Agency advisor in four countries – while also assigned as a Defense Department (DoD) asset to the US State Department, US Department of Homeland Security, Joint Interagency Counter-Drug Enforcement Task Force - South, US Defense Security Cooperation Agency, US Southern Command, US Southern Air Force Headquarters – 12th Air Force Headquarters, and serving as the US Military Group – Ecuador Air Force Mission Chief in the Republic of Ecuador, South America, shortly before retiring from active duty in the summer of 2007. I am also a combat war veteran of the US-USSR Cold War, first Gulf War in Iraq and Kuwait (Desert Shield-Desert Storm), the Global War on Narco-Terrorism and the Global War on Terror.

US Military Group - EC, USAF Mission Chief. Responsible for all USAF air operations and service-related activities in-country, US Defense Security Cooperation Agency Liaison Officer, USAF Security Assistance Advisor-Liaison to the host Ecuadorian Air Force senior leadership, US Embassy USAF operations / Disaster Relief / Bi-Lateral Military Exercises Officer, Humanitarian Relief Officer and US Defense Intelligence Agency (interpreter-translator service officer).

Organized, equipped, trained and supervised a joint contingent of officers, and NCOs in the USSOUTHCOM area of responsibility. Provided oversight of all central air coordination support of U.S. Military Group - Colombia operations.

Advisor to the commander on key POL-MIL issues and USAF in-theater point of contact for strategic planning and politico-military affairs liaison between USSOUTHCOM, SOUTHAF, SOUTHAF FWD, and the 24th Wing at Howard AFB.

Joint Planning Assistance Team - Colombia, South America
Joint Planning Assistance Team (JPAT) - anti-narcotics and drug interdiction operations. Served as the resident USAF liaison, translator, and interpreter for the JPAT commander between host nation civilian, military, and joint operations agencies in country. Coordinated all diplomatic overflight clearances for Support Justice IV operations.
