Dr. Steinhardt has been a professor in the Agronomy Department at Purdue since 1976. Research interests include effects of physical properties, especially compaction, on the use and management of soils. He has studied effects of both conventional and conservation tillage on soil physical properties. His extension work is concentrated on soil properties and impact on land use.
