Worked as CSM driver for CSM Jones and then his replacement. Was part of Defense Co 703d Support Bn later transferring to A Co 1/15 Infantry Brigade, 3rd Infantry Divison until deactivation.

Went overseas during mideast crisis of 73. Worked in company office towards end of tour as Admington Chief. Cpl Mendez, Sgt Francis and Cpl Spring worked with me. Best friend at the time was Sgt Shackleford. Capt Willie Joe. Over was CO XO was 1st Lt Carver. Lt R.R. Grinder was my original platoon leader.

Stationed at Bagram Airfield attached to Army at the time though still belonged to the Air Force. Was supposed to be 12 month tour but left 2 months earlier taking a promotion at Andrews AFB. V

2 complete tours with a start of 3rd that was interrupted with Desert Storm. After Desert Storm we were deactivated and reassigned stateside.

Mid East deployment of 73
On board multiple craft starting with the Iwo Jima, Guadicanal, Sumter, Francis Marion back to the Iwo Jima. We would define the Suzanne Canal before coming home.
