Bio
Joined the Navy to see the world and stay out of Vietnam; ended up with the Marines in Dai Loc and Hoi An with III MAF, 2nd CAG, CAP 2-2-2. Went back on station on DD-948, USS Morton, with less than six months left as first corpsman to the Chief. Sailed out of Subic for fire support missions off the Mekong Delta. Oh, did I forget to mention, I spent the first 3+ years in California?
Used Clinical Laboratory training received in Navy to build a career in Clinical Laboratory medicine. Retired as Laboratory Administrative Director from Mesa View Hospital, Mesquite, NV in 2012.

CAP Corpsman with 14 man Combined Action Patrol. CAP units training PF troops in village defense. Corpsman engaged in Medcaps to immunize civilian population and provide minor medical care, and daily treatment of civilians as needed for minor sores, etc. Provided medical care for CAP Marines, up to and including best friend who tripped 40 mm mortar round booby trap.
