As an IL farmgirl, we sang military songs as we worked, "I'm in the Army now. .when things get tough, you NEVER give up. ." Dad served in the Korean War. He'd only completed 8th grade, but was a very intelligent man schooled by life & military service. He passed those traits on to his 5 children. I started work as a legal asst at 17, progressing to Paralegal. 42 yrs later, I became a Realtor!
