I was in deck division except for the last 8 months at which time I was a mess cook and took over the ship's butcher shop. I ran the butcher shop until my RAD 18 October 1972.

I began as an officers's steward the became a hospital corps striker which I did for most of my remaining time aboard Amphion. My last few months, I was transferred to deck division and remained there until my transfer to Vulcan.
