San Diego most of my first tour. Boot Camp, NRMC San Diego (Balboa Hospital) for "A" school and subsequent clinical work. Primarily Trauma and Surgery assignments. Boot Camp as Staff Corpsman. Requested submarines, Sub School & then Boomers. Qual'd in Submarines (SS). Transferred to NAS Dallas to finish my active duty. 2 years as Reserve mostly supporting Artillery outfit 2/14 Marines.
