Bio
After service in 1978 stayed in the advertising, graphic and web (when it emerged in the 90's) design field. Military experience was tremendous - I leap frogged in my personal maturity and confidence backed by tons of training and hands-on experience. After 3 years I was a changed person - I needed the challenge that the Army asked me to live up to.

Aug 1976 - Feb 1978
Aircraft Armament Repairman AH-1G Cobra (45J2T)
Orders:07/07/1976. Leave from APG 07/22/1976 via air to Seattle, WA. Stayed at a YMCA downtown and took in the sites for some days. Not enough to visit back home in California. Go to my official permanent party station at Ft. Lewis, WA. Reporting date: 08/10/1976. Orders rcvd 07/28/1976 that I am reassigned, effective 08/04/1976, to 411th Trans (Transportation) Co. (WFUEAA A). I worked at a hangar on the Gray (sp?) Army Airfield. My MOS 45J20 Aircraft Armament Repair (on Cobra AH Helicopters) I see is now called: 67Y: AH-1 Attack Helicopter Repairer.

Orders: 04/06/1976. Reporting date: 04/09/1976. Reassigned to: HHC USA ORD SCH BDE (W1D41TX) Aberdeen PG (Proving Grounds), MD 21005. Leave data: None. For training in MOS 45J20. Left Columbia, SC by train to Aberdeen PG that day. Actual unit was: Co A 1st BN SCH BDE, USAOC&S (W1D41R X) APG, MD 21005. Training end date: 07/09/1976. Did well in the course so they gave me advanced training on specifically the TOW (Tube launched, Optically sited, Wire guided) rocket systems. Hence the added "T" to make 45J2T. My MOS 45J20 Aircraft Armament Repair (on Cobra AH Helicopters) I see is now called: 67Y: AH-1 Attack Helicopter Repairer. Training end date: 07/16/1976. Stayed on at APG until 07/22/1976

AIT Student
Orders: 02/20/1976. End BCT 02/27/1976, start leave of 13 days. Reporting date: 03/12/1976. Reassigned to: Co B 14th BN 4th AIT (CS) BDE USATC (WOG42BT) For COBET (Common Basic Electrical Training) - initial training required for my MOS 45J20 Aircraft Armament Repair (on Cobra AH Helicopters). I see it is now called: 67Y: AH-1 Attack Helicopter Repairer. Training end date: 04/09/1976. Last day of class it was announced that I had the highest scores/top in class and named the Honor Grad.
