I developed skills in leadership, responsibility, discipline, commitment, and loyalty. I performed numerous tasks and challenges that resulted in growing personally and professionally. I have performed assignments in over 20 countries, including combat duty. Fired more than 200 high explosive and illumination rounds while serving in the Korengal Valley, and several dozen Fire Missions in the Khyber Pass, Afghanistan. Resulted in multiple enemy casualties, the disengagement of enemy forces with friendly forces, and the deterrence of several improvised explosive devices being planted by Taliban forces. Trained junior Marines how to employ, how to maintain, and how to correctly call for fire from an indirect fire asset at the company level as well as infantry tactics and various weapon systems utilized by Marine Corps Infantry. Responsible for cross training team members in all positions needed to run the squad efficiently and effectively. Managed squad personnel, including two team leaders. Maintained accountability of hundreds of thousands of US dollars worth of military equipment to include, service rifles, optics, heavy weapons, and communication equipment.
