Vietnam War
Served as Fleet OOD, First Lieutenant, and Gunnery Liaison Officer on the USS HOLDER (DD-819). Assignments included the gun line and plane guard duty to several carriers. Ship also entered inland (brown) waters in August 1966. Of special note is the route taken by the squadron to Vietnam and return which resulted in a round the world cruise.
