Chief Sonar Technician
Last Duty Station of 20 yr career. I retired right after the ship did. Had a deployment to Central/South America with a Coast Guard detachment on board to fight the drug war in late 90 and early 91. Last WestPac in 92-93, most of the time spent in Operation Southern Watch in Middle East. After leaving there came back to LB via Australia, went to Geraldton and Melbourne, both of which I had been to in 79. During the shellback initiation I was Neptunus Rex. Got back to LB and started readying the ship to be leased to Taiwan. Helped train Taiwan Navy for their taking control of the ship.
