Reorganized the restricted barracks greatly reducing repeat offenders, organized and administered the drug screening program for the base and subordinate commands. coordinate Captains Mast procedures with CO and XO; provide escort services to VIP's, prisoners, and restricted personnel; Administered the voter registration drive on the base and coordinated transportation to the polls for anyone desiring to vote. Highest registration of voters and voting participation on the base at the time.

USS John King DDG-3 - supposed to be a med cruise but we passed through the Suez Canal into the Arabian Sea - made a stop at Singapore then back through the Suez for a stop at Gaeta, IT. I made a trip to Rome and then return to Norfolk - short cruise

USS Maddox DD-731 - Viet Nam again - visited same places as before - exciting things happened when we were fired on by shore batteries - they missed but did manage to put 27 lbs of shrapnel on our decks. Close
