VAW-88 | NAS North Island/Miramar, CA

Naval Air Reserve AT1 responsible for maintaining all of the electronic systems onboard an E-2B and E-2C Airborne Early Warning Aircraft. VAW-88 had E-2B aircraft at North Island for first year, and then transitioned to the E-2C at Miramar the next year.

USS Lewis and Clark SSBN-644 | Charleston, SC

Maintain and operate SINS, Nav Center Console, Loran-C, Secure Sonar, ECM, Radar. Added duty as Nav Center Technician Supervisor Following launch of Apollo 17 while preparing for submerged launch test of one of our new Poseidon missiles.

Assisted with submarine overhaul, reactor replacement, and replacement of all Polaris weapon systems with Poseidon systems and new missiles. We conducted several sea trials, including sound tests in the Tongue of The Ocean.
