Military Experiences
I enlisted while in high school with my father, grandfather a retired Army Lt. Col, and grandmother present. Basic at Lackland and Tech School at Goodfellow; both in Texas not far from each other. I remember basic feeling pretty much on my own and scared from the beginning. I didn't wear my BC's at the rifle range because I was so vain so I;m surprised I hit the targets. Somehow I survived both basic and tech school. While at Goodfellow I had a seizure while alone in my room - no witnesses. My roommate walked in as it was coming to an end. Since I was NG and had less than 10 years, the NG deemed me "unfit for duty" and gave me severance at 19.
