Ground support equipment mechanic
Lance Corporal Fidler reported to his Reserve unit at MCAS El Toro in Tustin California where he was assigned to MAG 46, 4th MAW. In August of 1980, after being recognized by the MAG 46, 4th MAW commander for bringing 28 pieces of flight line equipment back to fully operational status that had been dead-lined for over 2 years by coordinating with the active duty shops to exchange parts for equipment they didn’t have for ones they did during his 2 weeks of annual training, he was then promoted to Corporal.
