I served in uniform for nearly a decade and have experience in leadership positions ranging from Team Leader to Acting Platoon Sergeant as well as extensive experience serving as a staff NCO on the battalion and brigade levels with emphasis in operations, plans and intelligence staff work.

Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) - Afghanistan
Served with JTF Empire (411th EN BDE) in command of all engineer assets in CJOAA. I was assigned various tasks as a member of the G3/G4/HHC, primarily as a Movement and JOC Operations NCO. I was medevac'ed from Afghanistan to LRMC in August 2012, one of the biggest disappointments of my life.

Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF)
I spent a total of 19 months on active duty, including 12 months deployed to Baghdad, Iraq during the worst part of post-conflict operations. I served as a member of a QRF team, an ECP team, a JLENs crew, on various logistics support missions and volunteered with a military training & transition team as well as on medical humanitarian missions.
