Some of the services provided by Disabled Veterans’ Outreach Program Staff (DVOP) & Local Veterans’ Employment Representatives (LVER) and Career Counselors Staff:• Job Search and Placement Assistance • Career Planning, Counseling and Case Management • Labor Market Information • Assessment, Testing Services as well as Referral to Educational and Vocational Training Programs Local Veterans' Employment Representatives; This grant provides funds to exclusively serve veterans, other eligible persons, transitioning service members, their spouses and, indirectly, employers. The grant also gives the State the flexibility to determine the most effective and efficient distribution of their staff resources based upon the distinct role and responsibilities of the position.

Career Counselors are the subject matter experts on all facets of Army life to include reenlistment, transfer of education benefits, and reclassification. Career Counselors are highly trained non-commissioned officers and a product of an arduous qualification process. They function as personal agents on behalf of commanders and the Department of the Army through the Army Retention Program. All Soldiers have a Career Counselor available to them and can usually be found at the battalion levels.
