1969 CDF, 1970 U.S. Army Driver/Mechanic Fort Carson Colo, 1973-2005 Fire Engineer,retired from Orange City Fire Dept. in 2005 after 32 yrs, 2013 joined CSMR Troop Command South as a Recruiter SPC 4, Long Beach Armory.

did a little bit of mechanic work on a few jeeps but mostly drove lot for the mail guys along with other company special pick ups or deliveries. I then became a permanent CQ runner on a shift work detail which I loved

Vietnam War
I had Orders 2 times to deploy to Vietnam but my Orders both times were canceled by my Company Commander when he asked me to stay as he liked having me at Fort Carson serving in his Unit.I had wished later after being discharged I had gone on one of those deployments as many of my friends had.What do kids at 20 yrs old know.
