Hospital Corpsman 67/72 pilot rescue off the cost of Vietnam . Discharged worked as an emergency room nurse at Kaiser Hospital Southern Calif 72/89. Worked at Mercy Hospital trauma center for one year. Moved to CNY worked at the VA Hospital at Syracuse, NY in mostly the Emergency Department until 2000. Elected into my current position as Divisional Union President in partnership with management.

25 years are the VA Medical Center at Syracuse Ny in there Med/Surg and emergency room.
For the last 15 yrs as the Divisional President of the Union SEIU Local 200 United. I also sit on the National Partnership counsel, National Safety councils and I am a Master Trainer in the Workplace Violence.

Transferred to Corp School San Diego, CA then to Naval Hospital Long Beach, CA till 1971. Transferred to the Long Beach Naval Station/USS Repose in the out Patient Clinical Areas working the Emergency Room, EKG, Immunization clinic and most other clinical areas including the Administrative office until Discharge in 1972.

Hospital corpsman known as Doc or (ha ha) the bad one when everyone was in port and had their "Fun" they called me Dick Smith lots of Gram Stains done with 2 1/2 million unit of penicillin given. If not doing that we were on gun line duty and lots of plane guard duty for rescue mission for downed aircraft.
