Joined the SC Army National Guard while in high school and left for Basic Training 2 days after graduation at Ft. Sill, OK as a 13E. Reclassed to 63E when unit reclassed. Unit re-reclassed to FA and went back to FDC. Moved to BN in between 2 deployments and finally retired after 24 years. Would not trade this experience for anything.
