Started on the Line in support of F-4 J Phantoms and moved into the Structures shop as an AMH Phantom fixer. Did a 6 month stretch in Corrosion Control and worked on and off in the Phase crew.
Decommissioned the squadron VF-101 F-4 Grim Reapers, and became The VF-171 ACES in 1978.
