Deck Mineman
Started off as an Operation Specialist and received my OS "A" School training at Norfolk, VA. However, there were not any ships or crews in need of OS's. So I cross trained into the Mineman "F" School at Ingleside, TX. My duties were as follows: Coxswain, Top Side Watch, Aft Look Out, Helmsman, Master Helmsman, Security Alert Team and Backup Alert Force (SAT & BAF;) Nozzle man and Line Man on our fire fighting team and I was a part of MCM Crew Persistent first DCPO (Damage Control Petty Officer) program for two and half years
