Bio

Engine Management at Myrtle Beach AFB for 6 of 7 yrs I was stationed there, 1 yr in Wing Scheduling. Went to Saudi in '90, that trip made me get out. I was an 8 yr E-4, who was very good at my job, developing manual tracking methods that allowed us to operate independent of the home base. People who outranked me in my field didn't know how to do that, but they knew how to take those tests! I was told I'd never amount to anything, I wasn't smart enough (Abusive Father), but I just wouldn't quit. I discovered BMX in '76, was the SC State Champion in '87, went into BMX Freestyle and was National #2 in '88 and #3 in '90. I'm never satisfied, I always strive to be the best at what I do. I didn't do well on WAPS testing in the USAF, but I knew my job better than almost anyone! I've still got that drive too, it's served me well in life!

Military Experiences

Dec 1983 - Mar 1990
Engine Management it
Tracked time on 91 different parts on each engine attached to the A-10's assigned to MBAFB along with spares. Managed Tech Order library and Time-Change Tech Order program, kept the Big Board updated with engines assigned to different aircraft on a weekly basis, worked closely with Wing/Squadron Scheduling offices on maintenance and upcoming engine swaps or modifications needed. Worked closely with Engine Crew Chiefs to get their paperwork in before they rolled out of the shop. Entered current ETTR Readings after every flight for all aircraft on base on a daily basis. Occasionally had to go to the Flightline and borescope an engine for correct serial numbers if we didn't get them from the Engine Crews, or there was an issue at Tinker AFB over a possible serial number discrepancy.
