Senior Enlisted Leader/Advisor
Sergeant Major Louis M. Espinal enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in November 1979 from Staten Island, N.Y., as an 0311 infantryman. From December 1979 until March 1980, he attended Recruit Training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina. His diverse 33-year career includes assignments in the Infantry, Combat Service Support, Air Wing, Reserve establishment, Recruiting Duty, Diplomatic arena (State Department), and Joint environment.

SgtMaj Espinal has participated in operations/exercises and deployments at various capacities throughout the United States, the Far East, Europe and the Middle East, serving three combat tours in Iraq with coalition forces. He also deployed to Haiti in support of Operation Unified Response as the Joint Task Force Command Sergeant Major.
