As a progressive leader with 24+ years’ experience in aligning Information Security Systems with Enterprise strategies and operations and goals, I have enjoyed matrix-managing cross-functional teams that collaborate as a focused unit to achieve aggressive business goals. I had the privilege of directing a staff of eight direct reports and a 78 team members in all network communications, video teleconferencing, knowledge management, collaboration and security operations in support of 100,000 users across 12 primary and 100+ remote locations worldwide supporting AMC airlift and mobility operations. I was held accountable for managing 12 mobile / telecommunications programs valued over $18 million. Additionally, I built and led an 82-member Cyber Defense Working Group to fully evaluate cyber security threats, creating layered intrusion mitigation strategies and continuous audits to protect $10 million critical systems.

• Managed $17M annual budget used to support IT operations across Europe and Africa. Led 18-person team to include the Chief Information Officer (CIO) branches. Established an IT Portfolio process which captured, tracked and analyzed IT requirements, funding and related costs. Integration of this process offered CIO the ability to comprehensive data on each initiative including; requirements, timeline, deliverables, expenses. I garnered $1.6M for enterprise service desk furthering Air Force Network Operations transformation. Negotiated Network Operations agreement to establish an international communications plan & network for a 12-nation strategic consortium in Europe. Developed new IT Portfolio monitoring process which identified $8 million in unreported purchases.

I oversaw the engineering, implementation and communications projects across Europe. I was responsible the training and mentoring of over 400 military and civilian personnel. Directly responsible for ensuring the Network Operations Security Center (NOSC) operational effectiveness and implemented the Air Force’s first IT Consolidated Help Desk (CHD) providing 24/7 support to over 44,000 users across Europe. I led consolidation of seven separate network control center help desks, delivered enhanced customer service by establishing 24/7support model. Consolidation of help desk’s created opportunity to improve training and introduce new technologies. Metrics showed that increased training for level one trouble tickets decreased by 27% over the first six months.
