Bio

I'm formerly a 68W, medically retired. I'm a 4 time published writer, an avid reader, a workaholic, wife, mother, and soldier. I need 6 things to be happy in life: a job to do, a meal to eat, a book to read, music to motivate me, God to guide me, and my family.

Military Experiences

Dec 2018 - Present
Retired
Living the civilian life after my abrupt medical retirement. From initiation of med board to terminal leave was 4 months. It was a whirlwind. The Army dropped me off in CO where I picked up my truck and my Glock named Persephone. My 5 year old and I drove from CO to MS to see family. Burned some bridges and solidified others. After 2 weeks we drove to NY and moved into the empty house I secured. Life is good now. No more stress or hit times. I just smoke my medical marijuana, clean house, cook, bake, read, write, help her learn to write her letters and watch the snow fall. It's beautiful.

Mar 2016
Vilseck USAG VTF
Training Room Clerk
I run the Training/Orderly Room for my Troop, processing all TRP actions, scheduling schools, and ensuring all personnel are current in mandatory and individual training requirements for the Army, our Regiment, Squadron, and individual Platoons. I'm a medic so I run dual jobs between HQ and TXT, which i affectionately refer to as Treadquarters. I am also our DTS and DTMS SME along with 4 other additional duties.
May 2013 - Mar 2016
Evans MEDDAC
Emergency Room Medic
I began as an ER medic for the first year before transferring to the Quality Support Division where LT Gates and I built Population Health. We follow all metrics for Preventative Health and ensure all Active Duty, Active Duty Family Members, and Retirees get the care they need. I trained all of our new soldiers and civilians and took on several extra duties such as FRG Treasurer, to support my unit, and Supply Specialist for our MSG when I was still an E3. My only goal is to make sure that these patients, in all of the Western Region, get the care they need...even if it isn't at our hospital.
