supported the night time arrivals of C141's carrying our POWS back to USA. I'll never forget how they looked. a sight overdue to witness, yet so sad to see, but joyous to see them back on american soil

took care of WRM equipment for hawaii air national guard 154 fighter group. the experience was flying in a C47 at least once a month to barking sands kauai, with the crew chief telling me to watch an engine as we're taking off. I asked him what Im supposed to watch for? he replied, "anything that falls out of that engine!"
