Started off as a saw gunner but moved quickly through the ranks and became Police SGT. As a Lance Corporal. I ran the company barracks for all the troops. This involved keys, maintenance, clean up, and linen.
Other job duties of Police SGT. Dealt with working along side company CO., XO, First SGT., CO. Gunnery SGT. , and battalion.
Schools attended for this job were Hummvee school, ammunition carrier school, and hazmat NCO.
From my great job performance and working well with others I was added another job as embark NCO . Went to school for classification, markings, and weights.
When not working on a job duty I would take classes and train on hand to hand combat, shooting, mountain warfare, urban warfare, jungle surviving, repelling from helicopters, war fighting Lab, colonel blits on ship to land operations.
I was in charge of a multimillion dollar account in bridge port CA. For mountain warfare training that had to deal with rock climbing. When it was time to turn in all gear I had been the only one from prior accounts to have all gear accounted for and turned in. This gave me reconigtion with the Company CO. And he wanted me to take charge of the company Armory while still in charge of my other duties.
At this time our company was getting ready for a turn over to go to Iraq . Again my attention to detail and good work habits landed the fastest and quickes turn over with no issues with any of the weapons or gear. All was accounted for and in great shape.
