While serving in the Virginia National Guard after my active active duty service from 1982 through 1992, I worked as an Program Discipline Instructor (PDI) for the Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice. I re-entered active duty in 2001 and re-classed from Combat Engineer to Field Artillery Surveyor. I re-classed again because of my physical injuries to a 42F HR Info System's for 7 years then medically retired in 2012 at Joint Base Lewis-McChord
