Crew Chief B-52D
Arrived At Dyess after attending Tech School at Chanute. Was in Phase dock for a few months until a spot became available as an assistant C/C. I was placed on 56-657 under SSgt Margaret Eiss, so-to-speak. This plane survived and is on static display in Montana I think. I was then given my own plane, 56-602, which BTW, was not so lucky and did not survive. I crewed her until I was discharged. Did 4 TDY's, Shepard AFB for the altitude chamber, twice to England, RAF Upper Heyford and RAF Brize Norton and once to Loring AFB up in Maine. Flew IP seat on many missions as well as all 3 TDY's in addition to pulling lots of alert.
