Commanding Officer
Commanding Officer of a restricted duty LORAN Station in the Bering Sea of Alaska. At the time I was a newly commissioned Chief Warrant Officer (CWO2) and this was my first assignment as a CWO. Crew complement was 1 Officer, 17 enlisted, and 2 civilians. Responsible for transmitting a LORAN C navigation signal 24/7 with a 99.9% on-air and in tolerance. Tour of duty was 12 months for all persons assigned.
