I served in the United States Marine Corps for 4 years. I attained the rank of Sgt E-5. I was a Helecopter Crew Chief of a CH-46. Honorably Discharged and attended Memphis State University for 5 years on the GI Bill. Recieved a BA degree. Work at USPS for 35 years. Retired as a Postmaster in Middle Tennessee.

Crew Chief
I was a crew chief with HMA-365. We responded to emergencies and disasters world wide. HMM-365 was changed to HMA-365 after including 4 CH-53's and 2 UH-1E's to the original squadron of 12 Ch-46's. We were attached to the USS Guam, LPH-9 of the 6th Fleet. We were stationed aboard the USS-Guam 3 times and the USS Inchon once.

Earthquake in Peru in 1970. I was attached to Squadron HMA-365 in MCAS New River, N.C. We were called out to provide relief for the hard hit regions in the Ande's in the form of food, water and medical evacuation.
