I joined the Army on delayed entry program when I was 17 right out of high school in 1981. My father was a retired U.S. Army Major, Vietnam Vet and Chopper pilot. I spent basic training at Ft. McClellan, Alabama and then AIT at Ft. Rucker, Alabama. My first duty assignment was Korea.
