Served on USS Augusta CA 31 during the Invasion of Southern France. Occupation duty in Sasebo Japan for about 2 years .6 months OCS completed in 1949. Commanded the 65th Engineer Battalion for 11 months in VIETNAM. Commanded the Engineer Center Brigade at Fort Belvoir, VA for two years before retirement in December 1972.
