I joined the Coast Guard because my civilian opportunities were not that great. I never dreamed that I would serve 30 years and advance to Chief Petty Officer. That I did was a testament to some good advice on my wife's part and some perseverance on mine.
I really do not need any assistance on my career goals since they have all been met.

I was a property technician and a procurement clerk. Most of my duties involved being the supervisor of some very outstanding individuals, people I will never forget and enjoyed having worked for me.

Initially, I was a Leased Housing Manager for all of the leased housing units in the area. I assisted the Housing Manager with reports and keeping up with the myriad details involved in running such a complex program.
After advancing to SKC I was moved to the Property Office where I served as an assistant to the Property Officer.
