Bio 

Lt. Timothy S. Pietrack grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He is a 2011 graduate of Western Michigan University, where he received Bachelor of Science degree in Imaging. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Communication from Johns Hopkins University. Lt. Pietrack was commissioned in December 2011 after completing Officer Candidate School at Newport, Rhode Island. Lt. Pietrack qualified as a Surface Warfare Officer in December 2013 aboard the USS New York (LPD 21) where he served as the Main Propulsion Officer and Weapons Officer. As a public affairs officer, Pietrack served as the public affairs lead for Pacific Partnership 2015 Philippine mission and as Deputy Public Affairs Officer on the staff of the Commander, Carrier Strike Group 8, embarked aboard the USS Harry S. Truman during a combat deployment in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. Currently, Lt. Pietrack serves as the Deputy Public Affairs Officer and spokesman for Navy Region Europe, Africa, Southwest Asia, responsible for execution of strategic communication, media operations, and support for all naval installations in the European, African, and Southwest Asian Theaters. Pietrack has been awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement (four awards) as well as various campaign and unit service awards.
