Fleet Marine Force Corpsman
"Born in the Navy, raised in the Marine Corps" is the best description I can come up with.
I'm a retired Corpsman (retired as an
E-5..."colorful career").
I spent most of my career with Marines. I have served in Camp Lejeune, New River, Camp Geiger, MCAS Beaufort, Parris Island (twice) and a couple Naval Hospitals. Always loved the chance to do things I could never do otherwise, loved the challenges, loved the versatility being a Corpsman provided but most of all, LOVED being with my Marines!!!
I've been on 8 deployments with grunts, the air wing and even EOD. I've worked with Recon, Snipers (trained at Stone Bay...Hathcock range) and done a lot of things most just lie about. It was an Honor and Privilege!!! I wouldn't trade it for anything.
