Bio
After graduation from Berwick High School in Berwick PA MSG (Ret) Scott Swank attended and graduated from Mansfield University, where he ran Cross Country, played baseball and graduated in 1985 with a BS Education/History. After teaching for 9 months he joined the Army as a 13F and completed his inital active duty training at Ft Sill, OK , "Momma Be Proud!" Scott's first duty station was with the 25th INF Division (L) at Schofield Barracks, HI where he was assigned to the 3/7th FA, "Never Broken", in support of the 1/27th INF "Wolfhounds". While stationed at Schofield SGT Swank completed Light Fighter I & II, PLDC, Airborne, RIP, Jungle Operations, Ranger School and deployed to South Korea, Japan and Panama. Upon completion of his initial tour he was placed into the IRR where he remained until swearing into the Pennsylvania Army National Guard in June 1990. SGT Swank spent 2 years as a processing SGT with BTRY F 109th FA before transferring to the Army Reserves to take a position as a Forward Observer 13F2V with the 42nd FA out of Bristol, PA and attached to the 668th CAV in Allentown, PA. When the reserves lost their combat units SGT Swank transferred back to the Pennsylvania Army National Guard and BTRY F where he deployed to Sarajevo, Bosnia for 10 months in 1997. Upon his return SSG Swank became an AGR Recruiter with STARC of PA earning his senior recruiting badge in December of 2000. In May of 2002 SFC Swank became the Readiness NCO for BTRY F 109th FA and he remained there until heading back to R&R in OCT of 2005. SFC Swank recieved his Master recruiting badge, attended ANCOC and was promoted to MSG April 1st of 2007.MSG Swank was a team leader for a little over 3 years leading his team to a high of 3rd (out of 16) team in the state of PA in 2009. In Sept of 2010 MSG Swank transferred to the R&R HQ to become operations SGT. He graduated from 1SG School in Aug of 2011 and retired OCT of 2013. Mr Swank is now the RSP Supervisor for the state of Maryland and he is enjoying his time off by fishing, working out and fixing up his castle.
