Capt Van Velson is a Developmental Engineer, currently assigned as Advanced Materials R&D Engineer in the Materials & Manufacturing Directorate (RX), Air Force Research Laboratory. His research includes nickel base superalloys, cold spray repairs in titanium, and thin metallic structures for hypersonicsc.
