For me it's been a great ride I've been to many countries, met some of the best friends/family. My experiences in the last ten years of my career has been this it's about 80 and 20. 80 percent of the time in the navy was awesome, the 20 percent you have no control over I.E. Deployments, missing holidays, events. But that's something you get used too.
