Bio
I initially joined the U.S. Air Force Reserves my Senior year of High School. After completing Basic and Technical School training, I went to college for a year. Then in June of 1989, I went on Active Duty and toured the world. Along the way I found my wife and we started a family. My wife passed away in Jan. 2009 and then I was Medically Retired in Sept. 2010. I can't work but would join up again

Network Intelligence Analyst
Wrote short and long term actionable intelligence reports of target nation activities. Trained new intelligence Analysts proper way to perform their job. Shift leader for 35 Analysts while on shift work. NCOIC of unit's most important long term reporting team. Elmendorf Wildlife Conservation Agent; protected base populace from Black and Brown Bears, Moose, Red Foxes, Porcupines, Wolves, and also assisted with Bird Abatement Program to protect aircraft from striking birds while landing or taking off.

Wrote short and long actionable intelligence reports of activity that occurred in target country. Shift leader for 40 Multi-Service Analysts working shift work. Deployed to Beale AFB from Jan, 02 to June 02. Provided analytic support via U-2 to front line troops in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Awarded Joint Service Commendation Medal.

Maintained Secure Voice, Data, and Fax equipment throughout the base. Member of the units Wing Initial Communications Package. Member of 49 FW Honor Guard. Worked in and was NCOIC of unit's Job Control; kept maintenance records on all equipment within the unit like the radars, Met. Nav., radios, and telephones for the entire base. Awarded Air Force Achievement Medal. Deployed to Kuwait twice. The first time was from Sep. 96 to Dec. 96 in support deployed Air Control Squadron. Was night shift Tech. Controller and Secure Comm. Maint. Journeyman. Second deployment was in support of 8th EFS to provide secure comm. and COMSEC custodian duties from Jan 98 to Apr. 98. Also, deployed to Guantanamo Bay NS, Cuba for Operation Sea Signal. Awarded Joint Service Achievement Medal for doing AFSC duties.

Secure Communications Technician
Maintained U.S. Communications Center equipment. Upgraded communications center from outdated teletype equipment to P.C. based message transfer system. Maintained all electronic test equipment. Closed down 7 Collocated Operating Bases throughout Norway. Prepared all equipment for return to supply system as well as all Forward Supply Points. Got equipment ready for transfer to Stavanger, Norway when unit was moved.

Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) - US
Wrote over 450 short actionable intelligence reports supporting troops on the ground and aircraft hunting down Taliban targets. Supported Operation Anaconda with intelligence reports of enemy locations and numerous search and rescue missions while the U-2 was over Afghanistan. Supported Naval Vessels when they transited the Straights of Hormuz.

Operation Southern Watch
Primary COMSEC Custodian for 8 FS Deployed. Sole Secure Communications Maintenance Journeyman for unit's deployment. Maintained and re-keyed all Secure Voice and Fax. equipment for deployed unit. Verified route security to various locations within Kuwait for Air Force Office of Special Investigations. Received Letter of Appreciation from AFOSI.

Operation Southern Watch
Deployed to support another unit, provided another Secure Comm. Maintenance Tech. Learned how to operate the Technical Control Van; ensured that all communication and radar signals were operational 24-7 to higher headquarters including a dedicated line to scramble fighters in case of any enemy aircraft activity. Night shift maintenance leader.

Sole Secure Comm. Maintenance Tech. on Joint Task Force 160 staff. Assistant COMSEC custodian. Learned how to operate and process message traffic during draw down phase. Maintained inventory of all cable television boxes for immigrant camps. Awarded Joint Service Achievement & Humanitarian Service Medals. Daily raised & lowered Base flag for GITMO.
