Gunner on convoy escort (MRAP) Traveled all over Iraq, but was based out of JBB.

Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF)
I arrived in the Iraqi theater of operation and was sent to FOB Taji, just north of Bagdad. We were then task to the U.S, Marine Corp to help retake the city of Fallujah in operation “Phantom Fury” in Nov 2004. After Fallujah, my unit was sent north to the city of Mosul to help pacify the insurgency. RTO/Gunner

I was assigned to a M1A1 tank crew as a loader. I was responsible for the day to day maintenance of the tank, as well as training for our bi- annual gunnery and multiple field exercises.
