The Integrated-Network Operations and Security Centers (I-NOSCs), the operational-level tier element of AFNetOps, on a continuous 24/7 basis performing operations and defense of all terrestrial, space, and airborne networks, and near-real time situational awareness of the ability of those networks to support all required mission areas within all theaters of operations. The I-NOSCs directs the actions of the Network Control Centers (NCCs), the tactical-level tier element of AFNetOps, to perform local network defense, operations, and touch maintenance as fielded at fixed and deployed sites.

Cyber Systems Operations personnel supervise and perform cyber systems operations and executes associated information systems support programs, both at home base and at deployed locations. They perform system administration on, Command, Control, Communications, Computer (C4), Intelligence, and various functional area platforms. Network Operations Technician
To rapidly deploy combat ready Airmen and communications in support of Pacific Theater contingencies.
The 644th CBCS incorporates more than 17 Air Force Specialty Codes and 134 personnel into a close-knit deployable communications team. It is a rapid-deployment unit designed to deploy all or part of a 32-person team "within a moments notice" to establish and provide "initial" NIPR/SIPR services and Secure/Non-secure voice capabilities.
As one component of the 36th Contingency Response Group, 644th CBCS is a vital asset available to Air Force leadership to respond to the growing number of fast-moving contingency deployments that today's Air Force experience in the Pacific area of responsibility.

Provide help desk network support to all personnel at CONUS and OCONUS U.S. Air Force bases. Through the AFNETOPS Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) initiative, AFNETOPS seeks to improve the delivery and consistency of IT services for the Air Force, while gaining efficiencies, through the consolidation of NCC help desk operations and leveraging the latest in technological advances.
The business challenge facing AFNETOPS is to migrate over 121 multiple global help desks supporting customers at over 400 locations to an ESD construct based around a single, virtual Service Desk with four locations operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including leap years and holidays. Supporting help desk operations based on a standard level of service for both (NIPRNet) and (SIPRNet)
